Kochbihar. Siliguri is the gateway
to the Dooars .The Duars
valley, spreads over 4750 sq km of land covering both the districts of
Jalpaiguri and Coochbehar.

This reserve forest was founded in 1941 mainly for the protection of
the great Indian rhinoceros.
Largest population of Great Indian One Horned Rhinoceros is
found at Jaldapara.It also provides excellent habitat for the Royal
Bengal Tiger and other animals like Gaur, Leopard, Sambar, Chital, Hog
Deer, Barking deer etc.
